The Storm That Rages
The storm raged, its winds howling like wolves and the rain pouring sideways. You gripped an old, tattered umbrella, its fabric barely holding on, torn in places and completely ineffective against the relentless downpour. Each gust of wind threatened to rip it from your hands, but you clung to it, desperate for any form of protection.
A Hand to Hold
And then, Jesus appeared. He didn’t offer a new umbrella or promise to calm the storm. Instead, He extended His hand toward you. "Hold my hand," He said. You looked at Him, hesitation clouding your heart. "But the storm is so fierce," you whispered. He smiled with quiet confidence. "I’ll walk with you through it."
In His Grip
You took His hand, and though the storm didn't cease—the rain still soaked through your clothes, the wind still howled around you—suddenly, you felt steady. Safe. Secure. Like nothing could harm you while you were in His grip.
The Storm and the Peace
Our faith may feel like that old umbrella, worn and tattered, offering no shelter from the storms. But when we take Jesus’ hand, we find it’s not about the storm stopping. It's about knowing He’s with us, leading us, holding us firm—no matter how fierce the winds or how heavy the rain.
The Storm and the Cloak
Your doubts are like a wild storm inside—a tornado screaming, “You’re not enough! Jesus won’t love you like this!” You curl up, pulling a thin blanket of fear tighter around you. The wind howls louder. You feel alone. Too broken. Too doubtful.
But then—BAM! A voice slices through the chaos: “I’m here!” You look up, and Jesus is standing there, His cloak whipping like a shield in the storm. He wraps it around you, pulling you close. The storm doesn’t stop, but His warmth does something crazy—it silences your heart.
You whisper, “But I doubted.”
“I know,” He says. “And I love you anyway.”
Held through Doubt
His love isn’t scared of storms or doubts. It fights for you. That cloak? It’s grace—unshakable, unstoppable, yours. Doubt didn’t push Him away. It brought Him running to hold you tight. You’re never too far, too lost, or too doubtful for His love.
